After a year of planning, Snohomish County Ombudsmen and the Resident Councils of Washington’s work culminated in a successful Partners in Progress resident centered conference held at the North Creek Presbyterian Church in Mill Creek, July 25th. Residents from 10 nursing homes and assisted living joined in sharing, listening and learning how to “Combat Myths of Aging” from speaker Kamilia Dunsky, MA, Snohomish County Senior Services and how to avoid “Frauds and Scams targeting Seniors” with Matthew Brady, Attorney from the Northwest Justice Project. The day ended with a picnic lunch a basket give a way to lucky conference participants.

Michal Glauner, Regional Ombudsmen from Snohomish, partnered with Sharon McIntyre, Executive Director of the Resident Councils of Washington to spearhead this 4th annual community event.
