Resident Councils of Washington provides this National long term care residents resource center to assist you in finding long term care information quickly. We will continue to add quality links to our national long term care residents resource center that will help you make long term care decisions.

Since our focus is on long term care residents quality of life and care, most of our resource center will pertain to that subject matter. Resident Councils of Washington will also provide links that will help you choose long term care, we understand choosing long term care is a difficult process.

Nursing home residents have patient rights and certain protections under the law. The nursing home must list and give all new residents a copy of these rights. Every resident has the right to be treated with dignity, respect and must be informed in writing about services and fees before you enter the nursing home.

CareWatchers also advocates for the rights of family in long term care facilities, family rights are important in the care of residents. CareWatchers is supportive of the resident council, family council, and the long term care ombudsman.
